The 4th International Conference of Pedagogy is a space open to debate on issues that are on the agenda, in a troubled and uncertain time, subject to profound social, political, technological and cognitive transformations that never cease to surprise us almost daily.
Alongside these transformations, we are faced with a constant challenge to our beliefs, our ideologies, our truths, namely about the place of education, justice and human rights in the lives of people and societies, since the old certainties that anchored those concepts, which seemed unshakable, now seem to fade as well.
This Conference aims to provide an opportunity for the presentation and discussion of works and research on the place and role of Education in the promotion and implementation of social, cultural and political justice, as well as human rights in a critical and transforming perspective.
The Conference is aimed at academics and professionals, researchers and teachers, governmental and non-governmental organizations, civil society, educators and students, school managers and directors, and all those interested in the themes of Education, Justice and Human Rights.
Academics, researchers, educators and educational professionals in general are invited to present communications on all topics related to the theme of the Conference
The communication proposals will be submitted, on an anonymous basis, by presenting an abstract, to the evaluation of at least two members of the Scientific Committee of the Conference, and selected by the Organizing Committee. The proposed abstracts of the communications should not exceed 500 words (excluding references) and should clearly outline objectives and issues, theoretical framework and methods of analysis, data and expected results. They can not mention the author (s), nor his/her institution or address.
The subject of the email must be "abstract-communication proposal". The body of the email should contain the following information:
The abstracts should be sent in an attachment, preferably in .doc, .docx or RTF format (also in PDF version, if it contains special symbols), to the following official electronic address:
The approved communication proposals will be presented publicly during the Conference by the author (or authors) in a period of time corresponding to twenty minutes (with a further ten minutes of debate).
Note: A selection of the best original texts submitted to an inter pares review (peer review) through a double-blind anonymous system, which should not exceed 8,000 words (including footnotes and bibliography), will be published. The texts can be written in Portuguese, Spanish, English and French in .doc or .docx format. The style guide is the 16th Chicago Manual.
